결혼 정의 수정에 관한 NCKPC (미국장로교 한인교회 전국총회) 행동 결의문

The NCKPC (National Council of Korean Presbyterian Churches) Statement of Resolution Regarding the Definition of Marriage Amendment.

하나. 우리는 130년 전 한국 땅에 복음의 씨를 뿌리고 지금까지  계속되어져 오는 미국장로교단 (PCUSA) 과의 선교적 협력 관계에 감사한다.

-We express our deep appreciation for the continued cooperative missionary efforts of the PC (U.S.A.), a denomination that sent missionaries to Korea 130 years ago to plant the seed of the Gospel.

하나. 이 시대를 향하여 열려진 문화적 시각과 더불어 성서적 전통을 고수하기를 결단한다.

- We resolve to adhere to biblical truth while maintaining conversation with contemporary cultural perspectives.

하나. 교단헌법의 개방성이 반영된 동성 결혼 주례나 시설 사용은 개교회 목사와 당회의 신앙 양심에 따라 불허해야 함을 NCKPC는 천명한다.

-We declare that performing same-sex marriage and the use of church property for its purposes, which reflects the openness of the Constitution of our denomination, should not be allowed according to the conscience of faith of the local church pastor and session.

하나. 개교회의 상황을 고려하여 지역 노회에서나 한미노회에서 개혁주의 전통을 계승하는 노력에 더욱 매진한다.

-We continue to promulgate the Reformed tradition within both geographical presbyteries and Korean presbyteries while taking into account the situation of local churches.

하나. 교단의 복음적 단체와 연계하여 교단내에서의 시대적 사명을 적극적으로 감당한다.

-We commit ourselves to fulfilling our mission to this generation in conjunction with evangelical groups within our denomination.

하나. 교단 안팎에서 일어나는 왜곡된 편견에 대해 적극 대응하며, 협력 관계에 있는 국내외 교단들과의 연대를 더욱 공고히 한다.

-We respond actively to those who misunderstand and misrepresent our denominational stance both within and outside of our denomination, and strengthen solidarity with other denominations, both within and outside of this nation, in cooperation with our denomination.

하나. 우리는 복음을 위한 디아스포라 한인 이민교회의 역사적 사명을 자각하여 선교적 교회 (Missional Church) 로의 부름에 더욱 헌신할 것을 결단한다.

-We, the members of the Christian Korean Diaspora of the United States, in realization of our historical mission, further resolve to commit ourselves with renewed ardor to our calling to be a Missional Church.
